On November 8, 2022, the association represented by Gricha Lepointe and Ana Linda Almeida Semedo were received in audience by the First Lady of Cape Verde at the Presidential Palace. During this audience, the association presented the results of its interventions over the period 2021-2022 as well as the objectives for the period 2023 in favor of Cape Verde's monkeys. The First Lady, particularly committed to the animal cause, is committed to supporting actions to protect monkeys with a broader objective of preserving Cape Verde's biodiversity. It launched an appeal, from its Facebook page, to public and private authorities, municipalities, farmers, to support and facilitate the creation of a real sanctuary for Cape Verdean monkeys, also considered an element of national heritage.
